HHSC (DHS) Residential Contract
We receive funds through a contract with the Texas Department of Human Services to provide shelter services to victims of family violence. These services include: shelter, crisis hotline, counseling, emergency transportation, emergency medical care, legal assistance, educational arrangements for children, referral and assistance with community services, advocacy with criminal justice officials, community education, and volunteer recruitment and training.OAG Federal and State Sexual Assault Contracts and OVAG Bilingual Advocate/Children's Advocate
We receive funds through a contract with the Attorney General’s Office to provide services to victims of sexual assault. These services include: crisis hotline, education to the public on sexual assault awareness, referral and assistance with community services, advocacy and support, crisis counseling, emergency transportation, medical and criminal justice court accompaniment. We receive funds through a federal contract with the AG's office to provide primary prevention service within our community.VOCA (Victims of Crime Act)
This is a grant awarded through the Governor’s Office to provide counseling services to victims of crime. Any crime victim is eligible to receive services through this grant. We currently employ 2 full- time LCSW’s to provide counseling services to victims who qualify. No funds from this grant may be used to treat perpetrators of crime.The Meadows Foundation Bridge Funding
Grant awarded to provide bridge funding in lieu of VOCA funding cut. Money received pays 100% of part-time therapist, full-time therapist, and Bilingual advocate. Services include, but are not limited to: face to face intake, crisis intervention, 24-hour hotline, counseling, transitioning from abusive lifestyle, mental health and substance abuse assessments, life skills/budget training and parenting classes.ESGP (Emergency Shelter Grant Program)
We receive these funds through a contract with the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs. This grant provides homelessness prevention services to victims of family violence. These services include but are not limited to: face to face intake, crisis intervention, 24-hour hotline, counseling, transitioning from abusive lifestyle, mental health and substance abuse assessments, life skill/budget training and parenting classes.UNITED WAY
The Family Crisis Center is a United Way agency. We are required to submit a budget for the following year to the United Way Allocations Committee. The committee decides the allocation based on annual fund raising.JOHNSON COUNTY COMMISSIONERS COURT
The Commissioners Court provides county funds each year. An application is made annually.
